CLASSICAL BALLET

The students of Creative Dance Academy are trained in the Royal Academy of Dancing (R.A.D.) syllabus for both grade & major examinations. The R.A.D. is the most widely recognized classical ballet syllabus in the world producing the best technical performers in today’s Ballet companies.
Classical ballet examination syllabus classes start from the age of 6 years & upwards. Students are put into a graded class depending on their age. Creative Dance Academy provides classes in every grade from Pre-Primary through to Major grades of Advanced. Classical examinations are held annually with grade examinations being conducted during the month of May & major examinations during the month of December. Creative Dance Academy holds a 20 year 100% pass rate for all ballet examinations with most students receiving marks of Distinction or higher.
The R.A.D. Classical Syllabus teaches children good technique & discipline as well as instilling fluidity of movement & a unique performance quality. Creative Dance Academy’s classical students progress through early training in deportment, body awareness, miming & character role-playing to advanced levels of technique strengthening & pointe technique.
Past students of Creative Dance Academy have been accepted into Ballet Companies such as the Australian Ballet & all graduating students of the Academy are fully qualified in the Royal Academy Of Dancing after having completed all classical teachers examinations.
